Helping Pioneers Achieve Success Since 1985

Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund was created to provide resources to encourage Fort Calhoun Graduates to pursue post-secondary education or trade school. It was created in 1985 at the onset of the Foundation and has awarded $150,000 in scholarships since its inception. Scholarship awards are intended to lessen the financial burdens of post-secondary education or career preparation school so that graduates can pursue the educational or career path of their choice.

The Foundation administers and serves as the selection committee for a broad range of local scholarships. Scholarships are available to graduating seniors enrolling in a technical school, community college, or four-year college or University to pursue a wide-range of degrees or fields of study. Graduating seniors apply with the High School Guidance Department and must meet the application and specific scholarship criteria in order to be considered for selection. The Foundation also has funds allocated for the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation Scholarship, which is awarded to deserving graduating seniors to continue their formal education.
