Sign up for the After-School Applied Sciences Program!

You can now sign up for the second session of the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation-sponsored Applied Sciences Program! Due to the overwhelming response to the first session, many students who wanted to participate were unable to due to the size limitation of the program. We are so excited to be able to offer a second session to those students that weren’t able to participate the first round!

The first session was a huge success! Students had a ton of fun and learned so much about coding, robotics, problem solving, physics, mechanics, engineering, technology, chemistry, and general scientific principles and applications. Students worked together, built things, learned and applied the scientific method, and were challenged by weekly projects. They had a blast!

This new session will be a little different- it has been divided as a separate session for STEM and Team Building, and a session for Coding. Fort Calhoun Elementary is one of the first schools in Nebraska to have this type of program available to its students - we are very honored and grateful to be able to provide this opportunity to students free of charge!
