Everything you need to know about Pioneer Homecoming Weekend! (Sept. 16-17)
Homecoming is always a special time around Fort Calhoun, and the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation has another fantastic Pioneer Homecoming Weekend planned to celebrate it! Here’s everything you need to know about the weekend (including school sponsored activities as well)
FRIDAY 9/16:
12:30 : Homecoming Parade on 15th Street into the stadium with Pep Rally following.
4:30-7 : Skills USA Hog Roast fundraiser in the HS Commons. ($12 for adults, $10 kids 10-17, & kids under 10 eat free) Skills USA Hog Roast Information
7:00 : Homecoming Football game vs. Central City
8 - 11 : Alumni Event 21+ - Pie ‘n Beers with Pioneers. Free event for FC Alumni sponsored by the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation. Pizza & beers served- come mingle with old classmates! Just east of the Stadium on 13th & Paddock.
After the game: Professional Fireworks display by Independence Pyro Co- It’s going to be an amazing show! Fireworks Info
SATURDAY 9/17:
9 AM : 2nd Annual Pioneer Homecoming Golf Tournament sponsored by the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation. There will be lots of great prizes! Held at River Wilds Golf Course in Blair. Register Your Team Here
11 AM - 6 PM : 2nd Annual Pioneer Fest sponsored by the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation. Held in the large lot behind the Longhorn Bar & Cherry Hill (13th & Monroe).
Entry Fees: Kids 5 & under are free, elementary students $7, and older kids & adults $10. Entry includes lunch & activities:
11:00 - Husker Game on the outdoor big screen
12-3 - Lunch (Burgers, brats, dogs, sides, & water)
1:00 - 2nd Annual Pioneer Homecoming Cornhole Tournament - watch or sign up a team! Cornhole Tournament Registration
All Day - Bounce houses, water bounce house, games, prizes, outdoor cash bar, beer garden tent, raffle
2 - 4 : Fort Calhoun School Tours - Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation board members will lead tours through the Elementary & Jr/Sr High - just show up at either of the schools!
We can’t wait for all the fun & to see Pioneers young & old celebrating together! Remember that all events sponsored by the Fort Calhoun Community Schools Foundation support the Foundation’s efforts to fund scholarships, school programs, classroom grants, student benevolence fund, big projects, & alumni events.
